just got a package in the mail from my friend in fungi girls with FIVE records, a poster and a CD…and the CD is their first hand-made demo. wow. i am so happy! i am now only missing one thing from the back catalogue…amazing how much stuff they have released for such a new-ish band. oh and the LP they sent me is a ltd gold vinyl version of the new record…only 200 copies...

After a teenage girl was sentenced Tuesday to five years in prison for beating a transgender woman at a McDonald’s in Rosedale, some advocates for transgender people called the sentence too lenient.
“Five years is not enough for what she did. It was really horrible — nobody should do something like that to another human being,” said Del. Joseline Pena-Melnyk.
